About Rachel 

Rachel graduated from the University of NSW with first class honours in 2004.

She used the first portion of her career to gain clinical experience in a diverse range of settings;

Rural and Urban, Independent and Franchise, Local and International. 

Rachel has now lived and worked in Canberra for 13 years, and she and her family are  pleased to call this city home.

Rachel completed in 2020 the Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics with the Australian College of Optometry, allowing her to prescribe a range of medications for the treatment of eye conditions. She received the Outstanding Graduate Award for her performance in this program. 

​

Rachel is passionate about providing broad scope Optometric care to the community, and is particularly interested in paediatric Optometric care, and its relationship to education. 

​

Rachel pursues this interest through clinical work at Unique Optical, located in Manuka, and through her role as a Lecturer of Optometry at the University of Canberra.
